This 3 Days Bwindi gorilla safari is trip to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for a gorilla trekking experience flying in to and from the park. This is a luxury gorilla tour with flight transfers to an airfield near Bwindi forest and a return flight to Entebbe International Airport. The 3 days gorilla trekking safari by flight is very convenient for travelers who are not interested in having the long road drive of about 9 hours from Entebbe or Kampala to Bwindi.
Detailed Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer flight from Entebbe International Airport to Bwindi
Pick up from your hotel or place or residence and transfer to Entebbe International Airport. Thereafter, take your charter flight to an airfield near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The flight from Entebbe to Kihiihi airfield in Bwindi lasts about 1 hour 10 minutes. On arrival at the airfield, a driver will be there to ensure your road drive to an earlier booked hotel. Arrive and check in at booked hotel near the park for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
On this D day, you have an early morning breakfast then after be transferred to the park headquarters within the sector you will be trekking from. When you get there (by 8:00am), you are taken through a briefing session where the park guides take you through the rules and regulations then allocated a gorilla family to trek.
After the briefing session, you thereafter head to the Bwindi forest for gorilla trekking. Start the trekking adventure in the forest lasting about 2 to 6 hours all depending on where the mountain gorillas spent their night. After getting to where the mountain gorillas are, you spend a maximum of 1 hour in the presence of the gorillas watching the family go about their daily life. All depending on their mood you will enjoy the playfulness, fight for lead, attention seeking and much more within the gorilla group. During this time you are allowed to record videos, take photos and ask questions all regarding the gorilla lifestyle.
For the trek, remember to carry some drinking water and snacks or foods to keep you energized, however, do not litter in the park.
After the 1 hour allocated to be spent with the mountain gorillas, you then trek back to the start point where you are debriefed and given a congratulatory certificate. Thereafter, transfer back to your hotel or lodge for relaxation, diner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Return flight to Entebbe International Airport
On the last day of the trip, have breakfast then be driven to the airfield for your flight back to Entebbe International Airport. On arrival at the Airport, you will then be picked up by a driver for a transfer to a hotel or place of residence or you will take your departure flight back home.
