This 3 Days Bwindi gorilla trekking safari by Vacanza Adventure Safaris is a short Uganda gorilla tour to trek the mountain gorillas of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The trip is a road safari with the adventures starting and ending in either Kampala or Entebbe.
On a 3 days Uganda gorilla safari to Bwindi Forest National Park, you have an experience spending one hour (60 minutes) with the elusive mountain gorillas. This is a unique African safari experience trekking in the natural habitat of these giants and finally coming face to face with them. This has been said to be a lifetime experience by many travelers and surely if you take on the adventure, you won’t regret at all.
Detailed Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
At the start of your 3 days gorilla safari, your driver from Vacanza Adventure Safaris will be at the hotel in Kampala or Entebbe very early in the morning to pick you up for a transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Meet, greet and then start the drive as you set off for the drive to Bwindi. Have a break at the equator line then continue to Mbarara for lunch. After Lunch continue with the drive to Bwindi arriving in the evening. Check in, relax, have dinner and overnight at prior booked lodge.

Day 2: Mountain Gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi Forest.
On this day, you have an early morning breakfast then after be transferred to the park headquarters within the sector you will be trekking from. When you get there (by 8:00am), you are taken through a briefing session where the park guides take you through the rules and regulations then allocated a gorilla family to trek.
After the briefing session, you thereafter head to the Bwindi forest for gorilla trekking. Start the trekking adventure in the forest lasting about 2 to 6 hours all depending on where the mountain gorillas spent their night. After getting to where the mountain gorillas are, you spend a maximum of 1 hour in the presence of the gorillas watching the family go about their daily life. All depending on their mood you will enjoy the playfulness, fight for lead, attention seeking and much more within the gorilla group. During this time you are allowed to record videos, take photos and ask questions all regarding the gorilla lifestyle.
For the trek, remember to carry some drinking water and snacks or foods to keep you energized, however, do not litter in the park.
After the 1 hour allocated to be spent with the mountain gorillas, you then trek back to the start point where you are debriefed and given a congratulatory certificate. Thereafter, transfer back to your hotel or lodge for relaxation, diner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer back to Kampala/Entebbe International Airport
From hotel, you will be driven back from Bwindi to either Kampala or to the Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight. You will have a stop at the Igongo cultural centre and also visit craft shops if you are interested in purchasing some items. Your guide will ensure drop off at agreed point marking the end of your 3 days Bwindi safari.
