A 3 days Chimpanzee trekking safari in Uganda organized by Vacanza Adventure Safaris is a short chimp tracking trip to Kibale National Park. Kibale Forest is known to be Africa’s best chimpanzee trekking destination as well as home to more than 10 other primate species, a reason as to why it gained the slogan “world’s primate capital”.
The 3 days Kibale chimpanzee trekking safari will include a visit to the Kibale Forest and the Bigodi swamp for a nature walk within a habitat that is home to several bird species and would be of delight to birders. The minimum age allowed to go for the chimpanzee trekking experience is 15 years with a prior booked permit.
Detailed Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala/Entebbe International Airport to Kibale National Park
From the greed point of pick up either in Kampala or Entebbe International Airport upon arrival, your driver guide will be there for pick up and transfer to Kibale National Park. You will have lunch along the way and have a beautiful sight seeing experience as you continue with the drive till arrival to the prior booked lodge near the park. Upon arrival, check in, rest and later have dinner at the lodge.

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking in the morning and an afternoon visit to Bigodi swamp
Have early breakfast at hotel then embark on the drive to the chimpanzee trekking start point. After the briefing session you then get to enter the forest in the search for man’s closest relative after the Bonobo. Trek through the forest for several hours searching for the chimpanzees as they go about their life in their natural habitat. Enjoy seeing the chimps and listening to them for 1hour before trekking back to the park headquarters.
After the chimpanzee trekking experience, you then return to hotel for lunch and refreshment. Later on you then go for the nature walk experience in the bigodi wetland which is just a few kilometers from Kibale forest. Later on return to hotel for dinner and overnight as you recall the events of the day.

Day 3: Return to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport
On the last day of this 3 days Kibale chimpanzee trekking safari with Vacanza Adventure Safaris, you then transfer back to Kampala or Entebbe. Have Lunch along the way back and drp off at the agreed point which can be in Kampala or Entebbe at the Airport for a departure flight.
