This once in a lifetime adventure takes us to Bwindi ‘The Impenetrable Forest’ in Uganda’s mountainous Kigezi region where you will have the opportunity to track the endangered Mountain Gorillas. A gorilla trek in Uganda offers wildlife lovers a rare, transformative experience of meeting the amazing gentle giants.
Detailed Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe.
You will be met by our representative upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport and drive to your hotel for your overnight stay. Enjoy a relaxing evening in preparation for the wonderful adventures that lie ahead.

Day 2: Entebbe – Bwindi National Park
Have an early breakfast and later a transfer to Entebbe airport where you will check in for your 7:45am scenic flight to Kihihi airstrip. At the airstip, you will find your lodge driver waiting for you to transfer you to your safari lodge for the next 2 nights. After your lunch you will head out for a community tour that includes the Batwa experience trail. This takes you through how the Batwa people used to live and how they are living with difficulties at present.You will pass traditional homesteads and have panoramic views of the surroundings.

Day 3: Gorilla Tracking Full Day Experience in Bwindi Forest.
The highlight of your safari: a 1 hour magical experience with the mountain gorillas. It is difficult to foresee how many hours you will hike and the trail through the primeval rain forest can be challenging, sometimes slick and steep but full of rewards. Your encounter with the mountain gorillas will be worthwhile as you observe them closely while they eat, play and rest. You will be mesmerized as you sit among these close relatives of man and have opportunities of taking pictures.For conservation purposes, time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour. The ranger guide always briefs you on how to behave with these giant apes. You will slowly return back to the lodge to relax and reminisce about today.

Day 4: Bwindi – Fly Back to Entebbe International Airport
Breakfast and checkout of the lodge to transfer to Kihihi airstrip for your flight to Entebbe airport, the departure time will be 9:45am and land in Entebbe at 11:25am. You will either connect to your international flight back home or we can arrange for you airport pick up and transfer you to a hotel in Entebbe for a day room use before your flight back home. (B-L)
