This truly wonderful itinerary will showcase all the highlights and remarkably diverse attractions that Uganda has to offer. From up-close encounters with the famous mountain gorillas in Bwindi, to chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest and thrilling game drives in Lake Mburo, as well as stays in Lake Bunyonyi, Queen Elizabeth NP and Murchison Falls. Package includes game drives and gorilla and chimp permits and treks.
Detailed Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport
You will be welcomed by a representative from Vacanza Adventures Safaris at Entebbe Airport. From here you will be transferred to a hotel in Entebbe for your overnight stay.
Overnight: Papyrus Guesthouse / Hotel No.5

Day 2: Lake Mburo NP
After breakfast we drive south westwards of Uganda make a stopover at the Equator in Kayabwe to take some pictures and later proceed to Lake Mburo National Park. This attractive park of rolling hills and open grassy valleys, interspersed with thickets, woodlands and rich wetlands, is the only place in Uganda where impala still occur and is the best place to see large herds of eland (Africa’s largest antelope). Other antelope species that may be sighted in the park include topi, bushbuck, sitatunga, common duiker, klipspringer, oribi, Defassa waterbuck and Bohor reedbuck. You will go for an afternoon boat ride on the lake to view game like hippos, crocodiles and a variety of birds.

Day 3: Lake Bunyonyi
Have an early game drive in search of Zebras, Elands, Impala and a variety of birds can be seen and proceed further south to Lake Bunyonyi. Spend the afternoon at leisure admiring the majestic view of the Isalnds
Overnight: Acardia Cottages Lake Bunyonyi

Day 4: Visit to the Isalnds, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Early morming head out for a boat trip to explore one of the numerous Islands on Lake Bunyonyi.You will be amazed by the beauty and tales of this wonderful place.
We will later drive to Bwindi Impenetrable forest for our next adventure.
Overnight:Nkuringo Gorilla Lodge/Ichumbi Safari Lodge.

Day 5: Gorilla Tracking.
After an early breakfast, we drive to park headquarters for a briefing before your gorilla trekking experience and drive to the trailhead for the start of an amazing adventure.This exhilarating trek in the footsteps of the rare and critically-endangered mountain gorilla, the largest living primate on earth. You will enjoy sitting down among these apes as they eat lush vegetation, playing and grumbling and the silver back occasionally drumming their chest. You will have opportunities to take as many pictures as you wish .You may also encounter other primates like black and white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, l’ hoest monkey and red tailed monkey. As you slowly return back to the lodge and relax the rest of the evening.

Day 6: Tree climbing lions of Ishasha
After breakfast transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park, through Ishasha the southern sector of the park. You will do a game drive in the open savannah covered by acacias trees on the edge of the Albertine Rift Valley. Take a game drive in search for the “tree climbing lions” which are seen during the hot hours of the day, as they lie resting on top of Figs trees also look out for herds of buffaloes, elephants, topi antelopes and more.

Day 7: Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast we will drive toward the Mweya sector of Queen Elizabeth national park. Lunch at our lodge and in the afternoon, take the most exciting safari by boat along Kazinga channel, one of the most popular sites in Uganda for its concentration of hippos, other wildlife, bird’s life and opportunities for good photography . You will see plenty of hippos, buffaloes and elephants drinking from the channel and if the time is right, crocodiles. Take an evening game drive before returning to the lodge.

Day 8: Game Drive, Fort Portal
After an early breakfast head for a game drive to experience the long tracks of the national park, in the Northern side towards Lake George and Kasenyi village. You might see lions, elephants, buffaloes, spotted hyenas, waterbucks, Ugandan kobs and perhaps the leopard though shy and rare to be seen. Have lunch and start our drive to Fort Portal.

Day 9: Visit to Semuliki National Park.
The Semliki National Palk is home to numerous wildlife species, birds, monkeys and butterflies and the local population includes a Batwa pygmy community. Semliki is one of the parks with the most diverse habitats in Africa ranging from Riparian forest, gallery rain forest, borassus palm forest and short and high grass savannahs also offers superb bird watching opportunities also the tourist will have the opportunity to boil his or her own eggs for the next meal in the marvellous hot springs. After the tour, we will drive back to our lodge in Fort Portal.

Day 10: Chimp Tracking
After breakfast, go for the Chimp tracking in the natural forest of Kibale Forest National Park experience and chat with our closest relatives the chimpanzees in the tropical rain forest. This park is known to harbor the largest number of primates in Uganda, a guided forest walk will not only reward you with chimps but also plenty of other primes, birds and butterflies. The guide will ensure that the walk is interesting by providing information about the national park and its inhabitants.
In the afternoon you will go for another guided nature walk to the Bigodi swamp where you will see plenty of other primates like the grey cheeked Mangabeys, black and Red tailed colobus monkeys, baboons, phoestes, and plenty of birds.

Day 11: Transfer to Murchison Falls
Transfer to Muchison falls national park via Hoima. Lunch in Hoima at a Hotel. Proceed through the spectacular scenic view of the escarpment in the Albertine rift valley. Enter the park in the evening and immediately visit the top of the mighty falls where the Nile perfects its beauty.
You will see how the calm Nile converge in a space of only 7 meters and transforms into a thunderous roar of white water falling deep down about 45m. Proceed to check in at the lodge and relax.

Day 12: Game Drives, Boat cruise
After an early breakfast at the lodge, you will head out for an extensive game drive in the Buligi Tracks. Wildlife species often seen include giraffes, Ugandan kob, oribi, waterbucks, hartebeest, sitatunga, bushbuck, warthogs, bush pig, lion leopard, mongoose, genet, hyena, jackal, and bat eared fox. After the game drive you will return to the lodge to relax as you want for lunch. In the afternoon you will go for a cruise on the great Victoria Nile to the Bottom of the falls. The boat ride will reward you with water game like hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants and plenty of birds dashing and walking along the banks.

Day 13: Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Transfer to Nakasongola and visit the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you will have a wonderful experience tracking the southern white rhinos.
Overnight: Amuka Lodge
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Day 14: Rhino tracking
After breakfast proceed for the Rhino tracking a two to four hour rewarding activity. After the tracking proceed to drive back to for your evening flight back home. Depending on your departure time, we shall have a city tour of Kampala in which we may visit places like; Uganda Museum, Gadafi Mosque, Namirembe Cathedral, and Craft Centre the African Village.
